Workshops & Retreats
Drawing on research- and evidence-based methods, my workshops and retreats engage participants in collective reflection and individualized writing prompts designed to deepen and sharpen their projects.
I offer writing and research workshops (90 minutes to half-day) and retreats (full day or multi-day). I often co-facilitate with my collaborator, professor Aimee Carrillo Rowe.
I always customize these events to meet participants where they are at, across fields, career stages, project types, and professional orientations. Components might engage participants in enriching arguments, enhancing writerly voice, aligning project design and purpose, or framing work for specific audiences.
Retreats move between lively discussion and guided prompts, writing in community and in solitude – usually in a mix of indoor and outdoor settings.
If you’d like to explore how workshops or retreats might support faculty at your university or center, I am happy to talk, respond to questions, and share information about previous retreats and workshops!
